Karin Mayer Rubinstein New IATI CEO
Karin Mayer Rubinstein has been named as CEO of the Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI), the result of the
merger between the High Tech Industry Association (HTIA) and Israel Life Science Industry
(ILSI) that was officially announced on Jan. 17. The IATI aims to be the umbrella organization of the High Tech,
Life Science and Venture Capital industries of Israel and promote these industries by
initiating member activities and collaborations, interacting with government agencies, and
creating opportunities for new business relations in Israel and worldwide.
In her most recent position, Mayer Rubinstein served as VP of Business Development and
Marketing at Herzog, Fox & Neeman Law Firm. Prior to this, she was a leading Partner and
Business Development director at Efrati Galili Law Firm.
The chair position of the IATI will be shared by two representatives of the association’s
industries: High Tech and Life Sciences. New chairmen will be elected for a 3]year term by
the member assembly in July 2012 and until then the chairmen of the merged Associations
will continue in their role: Aaron Mankovski, Managing General Partner at Pitango and
former chairman of the HTIA, and Ruth Alon, Partner at Pitango and former chairwoman of
the ILSI.
