Headway Raises $500,000
Headway has raised $500,000. The company is now in the advanced stages of developing Occiflex, an ergonomic medical device for the treatment of chronic head and neck pain. The company expects revenues within a year.
Occiflex performs a three-dimensional sequence of movements in space that mimic conventional physical therapy. Treatment is tailored to each individual patient and can be modified, as required. The computerized system measures and remembers the parameters of treatment for each patient enabling follow-up over time. Last year, Headway signed a € 2 million cooperation agreement with Dutch company Enraf-Nonius B.V. Under the agreement, the two companies will develop an advanced version of Occiflex. Conclusion of development and clinical trials is expected during 2012.
