Iris Geffen Gloor: UK Hub Biomed Manager
Increasing collaborations between Israeli and UK biomed companies is the goal of the new High-Tech Hub recently launched in Tel Aviv by the British Embassy.
Iris Geffen Gloor, a business development and technology transfer expert, has been appointed Biomed Manager of the hub, which also includes cleantech and digital divisions. The Hub director is Carmel Gerber.
More than 350 business people attended the launch of the hub at the British Ambassador’s residence in Ramat Gan.
Speaking to the crowd, Ambassador Mathew Gould noted that he is spending 30 percent of his time on the development of the hub. Acknowledging that the first place Israeli companies usually look at when partnering is the United States, Gould pointed out that he hopes to change things by increasing awareness about the advantages of the UK industry.
