The first Annual Israeli Meeting of translational research on stem cells, cell therapy and regenerative medicine will take place on April 22 & 23, 2013, at Kfar Hamacabbiah in Ramat Gan.
Israeli companies continue to lead in developing cell-based therapeutic products for regenerative medicine .
More than 14 local biotech companies and many academic groups are developing cell therapy products for cancer and chronic diseases.
Five of these companies have begun clinical studies and others are progressing rapidly to this stage. Most of the technologies were initiated in Israeli academic institutions and hospitals, and leading research groups continue to develop new therapeutics and advance translational research.
The conference will bring together scientists and developers from biotech and pharmaceutical companies and academia. These companies and institutions perform R&D on a wide variety of cell-based therapies, as well as providing tools, financing and supporting services to this emerging industry. Israstem will provide participants with a broad platform where scientific and translational research information is exchanged and cutting-edge developments are introduced by internationally renowned scientists. The latest advances in instrumentation and technologies will be presented in the accompanying exhibition.
Leading researchers from industry and academia will present their recent achievements in technologies and clinical studies discussing the most exciting developments. The program will consist of plenary lectures by top international scientists and oral presentations in parallel sessions featuring speakers from Israel and abroad. In parallel a poster session will take place in a large and central location.
